Cheers from Sarah!

Cheers from Sarah!

I've officially been in Edinburgh for a month now!  So I decided it was time to properly introduce myself to the blogging and Instagram worlds, two worlds that I've lived in for a little while now, in addition to my physical world of Scotland.  These are the things I'd like you to know about me.

Things you already know:

My name is Sarah.  I currently live in Edinburgh, Scotland, but I normally live in Greenville, SC.  I am taking classes at Edinburgh Napier University and interning at a theatre.  I love books, blogging, and breakfast.  I like to plan, and I like to travel.  I am happy with a warm cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate and another person.  I teach painting at Vino & Van Gogh.  I love to take pictures, and I also love punny captions.

Things you might not know:

I used to figure skate.  I am obssesed with gelatin in all forms, especially gummy bears and Twizzlers.  I went to boarding school for high school.  I love Palmetto Girls State and Orientation Staff.  I've played the viola for 10 years.  I prefer wearing dresses over wearing pants.  I love to eat at Tandem Creperie in Travelers Rest.  I want to live in a masquerade ball.  I do swing and contra dancing, and I went to a ceildh dance the other weekend in Edinburgh.  I want to eat bagels for the rest of my life.

Things I want to improve:

I want to be a better blogger.  I want to connect with more creatives in Greenville and in Edinburgh.  I want to know how to combat stress.  I want to be more flexible.  I want to travel to more places.  I want to be inspired.  I want to find my career path.  I want to learn about other people.

Things that matter to me:

I value honesty and trust.  I believe that art is everywhere and imbedded into our daily lives.  I want to capture every moment, whether it is in my head or on camera.  I write to figure out who I am.  I know that being vulnerable is the key to relationships.  I treasure the quality time with everyone in my life.  I love meeting new people.

I want to continue to find joy.

I want to continue to find joy.

Things I want to continue:

I want to constantly grow.  I want to smile to make someone's day.  I want to make lasting connections.  I want to motivate other people to be the best that they can be.  I want to teach others to realize the value of reflection.  I want to write something that encourages someone else to take action.

Lucky Strike of the Day: I visited Stockbridge, a neighborhood of Edinburgh today, and I had my first official Scottish breakfast, complete with bacon, blood pudding, eggs, tomatoes, and toast.
